ADAM Audio Soundtrack Competition 2020: The WinnersTop 3 Soundtracks chosen by Loy Wesselburg

Industry

All good things come to an end and so does the fifth edition of the ADAM Audio Soundtrack Competition. The painting “Nighthawks” by Edward Hopper created a special challenge for all participants but you have exceeded our expectations – again! The year 2020 has had a rough start, to put it mildly, but the soundtrack competition continues to create a lot of positive energy, for the team at ADAM Audio, the pro audio community and hopefully yourself. Thank you very much for the thousands of entries we have received and for all the efforts you have put into creating your compositions.

Over the years, we have learned that choosing the winners of this competition is a tough job. We are very lucky to get the help of professionals and it has been a pleasure to rely on the expertise of Mr. Loy Wesselburg for this year’s edition of the soundtrack competition. In this video, Loy explains what challenges he faced when choosing the winners and how he did it eventually:

And finally the waiting is over, here are the Top 3 entries:

1st place (custom made pair of A7X):

The 1st place goes to … *drum roll* … R D Shyam for his composition “Shyamchandar” – congratulations and great job! You can find Loy Wesselburg’s comments in a short video message here.

2nd place (SP-5 headphones)

Roy Klener with his untitled soundtrack was picked for a well-deserved 2nd place. Again, Loy Wesselburg shares a few words on this excellent composition in this video.

3rd place (a pair of T5V)

Hats off to Len Walker for making 3rd place with his soundtrack “Nighthawks“! Our judge has been so kind to give us his comments on this pick, too, please click here to see the video.

Special Prize

As always, the team at ADAM Audio has had a lot of fun listening through all the soundtracks and it just feels nice and fair to choose one more participant and honor him or her with a special prize. The track “Starry Night” by Charles Seo caught the team’s attention especially and it will also be rewarded with a pair of T5V studio monitors.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everybody for participating!
